7th Annual Olde Towne Pumpkin Festival

Proceeds from the fest support East St Tammany Rainbow Child Care Center – the only non-profit child care center serving low income families and families in crisis in St Tammany Parish.  You don’t want to miss this year’s line up:  A Big Wheel Race, Ponies, Hay Rides, Costume Parade, inflatables including a sticky wall, face painting, KIDentreprenuers, Pumpkin Chunkin, Delectable food and sweets and so much more!! The FREE event celebrating National Wildlife Refuge Week is fun for everyone! Enjoy  family- friendly outdoor activities including children’s activities, live animals, live music, hayrides, face-painting, bayou boat & canoe tours and much more!  Admission, parking, tours, and music are all FREE.  Food will be available for purchase benefiting the Friends of Louisiana Wildlife Refuges, Inc.

Wild Things helps people of all ages to connect with the wild things and places that make Louisiana special.  The 21st Annual Wild Things Celebration will be help Saturday, October 13, from 10 am to 4 pm at Bayou Lacombe Center, the headquarters for the eight National Wildlife Refuges in Southeast Louisiana. A Wild Things youth art exhibition will showcase wildlife and nature related are from young artists from throughout the region.

Fall for Art – Celebration of Art, Music & Food

This free event includes live music at various outdoor and indoor locations, children’s activities, gallery openings, art demonstrations, Art Alley vendors, our Mix Masters Competition, first-rate boutique shopping, and fine dining throughout Downtown Covington.  

Presented by the St Tammany Art Association (STAA), along with the support of our Season of the Arts sponsors, galleries and restaurants, the Fall for Art annual event draws some 4,000 visitors to the historic St John District.  New work by dozens of artists from around the Southeast Region are showcased.

Tickets: $10/day for adults, $5/day for Seniors 65 & older, free for children 12 & under and Active Duty Military with ID. Same-day unlimited re-entry.  Your admission ticket gives you access to the Maritime Museum and nighttime musical performances.

Warrior Wing Cook-Off Block Party

The 4th Annual Warrior Wing Cook-Off is a fundraiswer for Bring it Home Northshore’s Recreational Support Program for children of deployed military in Southeast Louisiana.  Admission is just $10 and includes samplings of the chicken wings from each of our cooking teams.  We encourage attendees to bring a lawn chair and have a great time!

Join the STPH Parenting Center for the 30th anniversary of Monster Mash presented by Metairie Bank Northshore on Saturday, October 20 from 10 am to 3 pm at Bogue Falaya Park in Covington.  Be a part of this historic milestone of the Mash, featuring unique activities and entertainment, delicious food and beverage from local restaurants and vendors, the popular Trick-or-Treat Village, rides, games and the exclusive, reservations-only Princess and Pirate Tea.  Proceeds from the Monster Mash benefit the Parenting Center by funding ongoing programs and enabling the center to introduce new services and programs, many of which are offered to the community at little or no cost to families on the Northshore.
